LENTEN REGULATIONS
ABSTINENCE (Meat) Binds all those 14 years and older all Fridays of Lent. (It is not strictly required for Holy Saturday, although it is strongly recommended wherever possible).
FASTING (Limiting oneself to ONE full meal for the day) Binds those between the ages of 18 and 59 for Good Friday and recommended where possible on Holy Saturday.
 Sacraments
 
Anointing of the Sick:

Anointing of the Sick takes place every first Friday of the Month at the 8:00 a.m. Mass. If you or someone you know is in critical condition or near death, call the parish office at 480-982-2929. After hours and on weekends, call 480-303-1253. Please do not use this service for any other reason.

Baptism:

Parents requesting Baptism for their children under 7 years old, must attend a mandatory preparation class offered each 2nd Wednesday of the month. Please call the parish office for other information.

Confirmation:

First Eucharist:

1st Eucharist is generally received following the reception of First Reconciliation. Diocesan Policy requires a 2 year Sacrament Preparation period.

First Reconciliation:

First Reconciliation is received prior to the reception of 1st Eucharist; following a 2-year Sacramental preparation period required by the Diocese.

Marriage:

Couples seeking the Sacrament of Marriage must be registered parishioners who are actively participating in the life of St. George Catholic Community. Notification of intent to marry must be provided six months in advance. If you wish to marry, or if you want to have a marriage blessed, call the parish office. For more information on the marriage preparation process, please speak to Fr. Pinti or Fr. Stan.

Sacrament of Penance:

Every Saturday 1 hr. before the first mass or by request. Contact the Parish Office at 480-982-2929.
